Hi 👋🏼 I’m Helen Bass!

I believe it’s all about relationships.

Healing rarely happens in a straight line. Emotions rise and fall, relationships shift, and life unfolds in ways we don’t anticipate. As a licensed counselor, I hold the space for that unfolding — for the uncertainty, the contradictions, and the complexity of your story.

I work with Filipina women, couples, and mothers navigating postpartum transitions, intergenerational pressures, and the often invisible weight of cultural and relational expectation. Together, we slow down. We notice. We name. And in that slowing, real clarity emerges.

Culture, Identity, and Context Matter

Your experiences do not exist in a vacuum. Identity, faith, family systems, and cultural history shape every aspect of your mental and emotional life.

I approach therapy with cultural humility and curiosity. The expectations you carry, the narratives you’ve inherited, the traditions you honor — these are not side conversations; they are the lens through which your healing is understood.

We examine how culture, community, and identity intersect with your inner life. We explore the quiet pressures and the unspoken rules. And together, we create a space where you can rewrite what no longer serves you.
